HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. - Gen. Frank J. Grass, chief, National Guard Bureau, visited members of the Massachusetts National Guard, at the Massachusetts National Guard’s Joint Forces Headquarters, here April 10, 2015.
Grass, along with his wife Patricia, and Maj. Gen. L. Scott Rice, adjutant general, Massachusetts National Guard and his wife Nancy addressed the Guardsman about the current state of the National Guard and its dual mission of federal deployments and the Guard’s homeland mission.
Grass also focused on the importance of the state partnership program, which partners different state’s National Guards with foreign countries in an ongoing effort to improve communications and relations with the other countries throughout the world. Grass and Rice then fielded questions from the Soldiers, Airmen and civilians of the Mass. National Guard ranging from suicide prevention efforts to the Guard's fiscal future.
