BOSTON - Army Lt. Col. Margaret C. White, a member of the Massachusetts National Guard with over 33 years of military service, was named the Deborah Sampson Honoree at the 11th annual Women Veterans' Appreciation Day at the Massachusetts State House, Thursday, Nov. 6, 2015.

 

The award, presented by the Massachusetts Women Veterans' Network, is an annual recognition awarded to female Service members for exemplary leadership and advocacy.

 

Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito, Sec. Francisco Urena, Veterans' Services and Maj. Gen. L. Scott Rice, Adjutant General, Massachusetts National Guard, were among several distinguished guests at the ceremony.
